Weekend Adventure – Little Mt Si

Michelle and I went for a quick 3 hour hike up Little Si on Saturday. I hiked little Si a few months ago with the Boy and a roommate and it kicked my arse. After a few months of treadmill and weight loss this time around I made it to the top and felt like ready for me. Made me pretty proud of myself; I’ve made some great progress. Not to say I was not beat at the top. I had to take my shirt off and dry it due to my sweat drenching it, but I did not feel dead like last time. After a quick stop for lunch I proved to myself how much more I had by running up and down a rock face. In my mind it’s easier to speed climb things because your momentum allows you make bigger jumps. Michelle got that on video – maybe someday I’ll work out where to post videos and give an update.

Let the Ride Begin

Last night Trenton and I worked out our route and did most of the packing to be able to leave tonight for a long bike trip. We are going to ride down the Oregon coast to about Redding in CA, then cut over to Tahoe and Reno. After Reno we are going to ride across the desert into Utah and ride the salt flats. From there we are going to head up into Idaho and with a destination of Silver wood theme park where Trenton hopes to go on a bunch of rides. After the rides we are going to come on home and head to the lake to play some Black Jack with the fam. Should be a fun time! we are both very excited. This is 9 days of cloths for the two of us laid out to be packed.

All of the above pictures cloths were able to fit into a single wet dry bag that I strapped, with Rokstraps, onto the top of the right side hard case on the bike.

we just toured biorad campus. I got a picture of clint in front of where his new office will be. he wil be in a cube jungle. nice campus. the main building had a ramp that I ran up to get on the roof and take some brilliant pictures of the bay. the owner must have some amazing views from his office.
did no find any wi-fi last night so no uploaded pictures yet. they are soon to come.

off to hunt for some food.

for the last 30 minutes we have not moved. we are south bound on i5 about 13 miles from california. I would really like to move again. and clint needs to pee.

72 miles from california. snow in the paases already and we just had to stop for a pee accident. back to it now. blog app will not let me paste so the long post I wrote at lunc in word will have to wait
